Over the past several years we’ve collected quite a large stack of race bibs and I decided I wanted to put them all in a scrapbook. This is a project that I bought all the supplies for sometime last year {as it was on my 2010 goals and carried over to my 2011 goals} but I kept putting it off until recently. It was a very simple and quick project so I have excuses for why I didn’t do it earlier. AND I’m very, very happy with the way it turned out. Once I completed this project I started immediately on a scrapbook of wedding related paraphernalia BUT that project is much larger and it is taking a lot more time.
I used one standard 12x12 scrapbook and ended up using two expansion packs but I still ran out of inserts and our first race of 2011 is not in the book {although the page is completed} because my craft store has not got anymore of the expansion packs in yet. I keep going back to check because I’m positive I’m going to need expansions for the wedding scrapbook too.
Here are some photos of my completed Race Bib Scrapbook:
The first page
Including a print out of all our races with dates, official times, the name of the event and special notations {like age group placing}
And a fav photo of mine from a long run we did in my home town in January 2010
Another shot of the first page --- yay for marathoners!!!
Sometimes I matched the paper to the colors on the bibs and on each page I wrote the name
of the event and the year on the bottom left hand corner
Even Lucy made it into the book with the bibs from her first 2k walk in 2010 --- The Doggy Dash
Some pages contained just a photo from a race day.
There on the left is a photo of us after we finished our first half marathon!
And of course the marathon pages from our first marathon, CIM 2010 --- there are four of them!
Here is the flyer we got in the mail, a sticker from the expo and the photo we used for our 2010 Christmas Cards :)
Photos from during the CIM race {diagonally down the page from the top left: at the start before the gun went off, around mile 6, and right after we got our medals} and the photo in the top right is us with my sister-in-law and one of the three posters she made for us.
Family photos from after we finished the marathon
And lastly --- here are our race bibs from our first race in 2011, the page is completed but I ran out of inserts!
This was a fun project because I go to think back to all the races I’ve done. I look forward to adding to it this year and for years to come.

That is very cool!! Congrats on all of your many accomplishments...including finishing the book (which is the one that I would likely put off doing forever and ever ;)).
