We had a very low key second wedding anniversary back on March 21st and we are looking forward to celebrating again next week during the husband’s spring break! The husband took the day off work and we went for my first run since being injured. We then spent the day hanging out at home before going out for dinner.
For our first wedding anniversary dinner we went to a really fancy restaurant in Old Sac, someplace we had never been before. For our second wedding anniversary we talked about going to another new-to-us restaurant but couldn’t decide where to go so instead we picked a restaurant we had been craving for a while … Chicago Fire!
After dinner we headed to our favorite froyo shop for dessert {even though we gave up “sweets” for Lent, we built in this “cheat day” since it was our anniversary}. And then once we got home we exchanged gifts. The traditional second anniversary gift is cotton {the modern is china --- so a couple of weeks before our anniversary we went to Macy’s and purchased the pasta bowls that match our china set that we got for our wedding}.
I gifted Jon with these two cotton embroidered golf towels
And Jon gifted me with this super cute cotton apron from Etsy
We had another wonderful anniversary … and we are looking forward to many many more in the years to come!
