Base Building: Week 6

This week I a long run over the weekend due to travel plans for the holiday and to take a little break before training starts to rev up for fall races.  It was nice to sleep in on Saturday especially after spending Friday afternoon on the lake in the sun with my dad and staying up way too late on Friday night with my niece watching movies.  BUT I missed it and I’m anxious to run again.  I’m looking forward to a long run this Saturday and for training to start building in mileage.  I’m staying positive, and optimistic, for my fall races and I’m eager to see how much better I’ll do this year if I can train smart and stay on track.

Week 6:  06.27.11 – 07.03.11

Monday 06.27 ~ Cross train + strength

Cross train ~ 40min strength + 65min elliptical

Tuesday 06.28 ~ Run 5 miles

Run ~ WU 11min walk/jog {0.72} + 5.0 progression run {56:28 / 11:17 avg} + CD 12min walk {0.59}

Wednesday 06.29 ~ Cross train + Muscle Blast Class

Cross train ~ 65min elliptical

Thursday 06.30 ~ Run 5 miles

Run ~ WU 10min walk/jog {0.67} + 5.0 run {58”06 / 11:37 avg} + CD 11min walk {0.53}

Friday 07.01 ~ Rest or Walk

Rest

Saturday 07.02 ~ Rest or Walk

Walk ~ 0.94 in 27:12 with Lucy, my mom & my niece :)

Sunday 07.03 ~ Cross train

Cross train ~ 65min elliptical + 20min stationary bike

Total Mileage = 13.45

Fall Race Training {for the Urban Cow Half and CIM} start on July 18th!!!
