Recommitted, Week 8

I’ve come a long way in the past 8 weeks and I’m enjoying the journey along the way.  My clothes fit better {some don’t even fit at all anymore}, my energy level has increased, my stamina has increased, my running has improved.  Eating at home has become routine and simple.  I have good days and I have not-so-good days but I just remind myself that if I’m having a craving its best to enjoy it instead of depriving myself.  This is about making a change; not sticking to a strict diet.  Some weeks I’ll have good weeks and loose weight.  Some weeks I won’t.

Week 8 {07.04.11 – 07.10.11}

Beginning Weight {05.16.11} = 150.2
Wk1 = 147.4
Wk2 = 147.2
Wk3 = 145.8
Wk4 = 143.8
Wk5 = 141.4
Wk6 = 141.8
Wk7 = 140.4
Ending Weight {07.11.11} = 140.4
Wk7 Weight Loss= 0
Total Weight Lost = –9.8

My daily allowance = 29 points
Weekly additional point allowance = 49 points

Monday ~ 38
Tuesday ~ 31
Wednesday ~ 26
Thursday ~ 36
Friday ~ 42
Saturday ~ 50
Sunday ~ 27

I earned 52 activity points and used all of them
I exercised 5 out of 7 days {for a total of 7hrs, 59mins}
I didn’t use any of my weekly allowance points
{My program is set up to use activity points before using my weekly allowance points}

  • I did not gain this week {surprisingly} and I didn’t loose either {not at all surprisingly}.
  • Lets see where my downfalls were for the week:
    • Monday ~ candy while watching the fireworks
    • Tuesday ~ good day but afternoon mindless snacking took place
    • Thursday ~ more mindless snacking
    • Friday ~ I ate a lot in the morning both before & after my workout in anticipation of giving blood but ended up not being able to give blood because of a two low iron count.  Then I drank some wine at date night while enjoying some cookies & leftover candy from 4th of July.
    • Saturday ~ I ran 7 miles and earned 12 activity points which was helpful since we went out for an indulgent Italian meal to celebrate a family birthday.  I researched the menu ahead of time at home online and picked the lowest point pasta dish and then enjoyed a couple of pieces of bread and a small slice of chocolate cake after dinner!
  • I’m hoping to move away from the mindless snacking this week.  I’ve got a to-do list a mile long so that should keep me busy enough to avoid afternoon snacking.
  • I’m sad that I’m the same weight as last week only because I was looking forward to dropping into the 130’s this week.  However, I know I overindulged last week and took an extra day off from activity so I’m happy that my weight stayed the same and didn’t go back up.
  • The next few weeks will be challenging but I’m remaining focused, and dedicated.  Tackling each week, and each day, one at a time!
