Guest Post ~ What I’ve learned from running

I’m guest posting over at I’d Rather Run Outside today!  Of course … I’m talking about running and what I’ve learned from being a runner :)

I’ve learned that running is a sport that anyone can participate in. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far you run. It’s about putting one foot in front of the other. I’ve learned that when you get knocked down, you have to get back up. I’ve learned that you need to challenge your limits and to know when to push yourself.  And I've learned that you'll never know what your limits are unless you try. I’ve learned that your only competition is yourself.  "Your biggest challenge isn't someone else.  It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells CAN'T, but you don't listen.  You just push harder.  And then you hear the voice whisper 'can'.  And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are." {Author Unknown}.  So, what are you waiting for?  The miles don't go away ... they are patiently waiting for you to run them!

My guest post is part of The Great Big Bloggy Post Exchange hosted by “P” at The Adventures of an Average Athlete!
