Three Things Thursday

1.  Did you see the special guest post on Tuesday from AJH at Age Groups Rock?  What about my guest post I did over at I’d Rather Run Outside on Wednesday?  Both were part of The Great Big Bloggy Post Exchange hosted by “P” at The Adventures of an Average Athlete.  Check here to find a listing of all the participants then hop around to see what everyone wrote and where they were posted at :)

2.  I just finished reading The New Rules of Lifting for Women.  I enjoyed it and learned a lot and now I’m going to take some time to digest what I learned before deciding if I will incorporate the routines into my workouts.  I’m apprehensive about using the machines & free weights at my gym so I’m thinking about going in super early to see if those areas are less crowded in the wee hours of the morning before I decide what I’m going to do.  I’m ready for a change from my regular boot camp style workouts I’ve been doing solo and the Muscle Blast class I’ve been attending on Wednesdays.  Besides I’m an early riser and would rather get my workout over with first thing in the morning.

3.  My last few long runs have been substantially faster than my predicted pace times and I’m worried that if I keep up the speedy paces then I’m either going to get burned out or injured.  I think I might consciously keep my pace at my projected time for this weeks 11 mile long run {HMP + 20 = 11:58} or slightly faster {closer to 11:30ish} and stop trying to bust out super speedy miles.  My track workouts are where I need to focus on speed and my long runs are where I need to focus on time on my feet and building my endurance.  We’ll see how well that goes this weekend …

Happy {three things} Thursday!

Here is my favorite photo so far from my nephew’s wedding that I photographed a couple of weekends ago.  I took around 1300 photos and I’m slowly going through them and editing them.  My ISO was too high on this photo and so I converted it to black and white and I love the way it turned out.  Their ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a lot of fun.  I wish them a lifetime of happiness and love :)
