Meal Plan Monday {Sept 26}

We did it.  As of yesterday, September 25th, we have gone 36 days without eating out {our previous best was 35 days}.  And we are not stopping there!  We plan to keep the streak alive and see how far we can get.  Our goal is my birthday in late October!

We had a great weekend!  The husband took a sub day on Friday and we headed to visit my family for the weekend.  Friday afternoon we spent on the lake with my dad & step-mom which was perfect because even though it was the first official day of fall it was still HOT.  We rode around the lake for a while, the husband went tubing, and then we beached the boat and went swimming.  After a few hours we headed back to my dad’s house for dinner and to relax in the hot tub.

On Saturday morning we ended up running a 10k race!  The race was being held along the river bike path where we normally run when we are in town so it was a coincidence that we were there to run it.  Since we had 10 miles planned we did 4 miles before the race.  It was our first impromptu race, our first destination race and our first race in my hometown!

We spent the rest of Saturday with my mom and my niece and also got to visit with my nephew and his wife.  On Sunday while the husband watched football at my mom’s house I took my niece to the fish hatchery along with my mom.

Good luck! I have a "fun" run half coming up to replace the one that was cancelled...So then I will be able to wear my t-shirt and medal with pride even though it isn't "officially timed".

I look forward to reading your recap!

Beautiful pictures!

Nice pics!

I should plan out my meals but half the time I try to plan meals, something comes up and we can't eat as planned. I like slow cooker meals especially on busy days but that would take some actual planning. Between lack of planning and our unpredictable schedules, I have at best a rough draft of an idea what to make heading into each week.
