ABC’s ~ The Foodie Edition

I originally saw this food questionnaire a while ago on The New Healthy, though I have no recollection about how I stumbled upon it.  Its been hanging around in my “drafts” for a while and I thought it would be fun --- a nice change from talking about running --- to talk about food.  I love food.  Ask anyone and I bet they say I talk about food almost as much as I talk about running :)

I did the ABC’s of “me” back in March --- you can read all about that here :)

A: is for Apple, what’s your favorite variety?
Pink Lady or Fuji

B: is for Bread, regardless of nutrition, calories, or whole grains what is your favorite type to have a nice big piece of?

C: is for Cereal what is your favorite kind currently (just one!)
I don’t eat a lot of cereal these days but my all time favorite cereal is probably … Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

D: is for Doughnuts, you might not currently be eating them but what kind do you fancy?
Plain glazed donuts or those mini chocoalte covered ones!

E: is for Eggs, how would you like yours prepared?
Either over easy with a side of toast or fried on an english muffin with some cheese :)

F: is for Fat Free, what is your favorite fat free product?
Really?  Um, Fage Plain Total 0% Green Yogurt.

The local farmers market on Saturday mornings, Sprouts, Bel-Air, Costco, Trader Joe’s and Wal-Mart.  We like to shop around for the best deals :)

H: is for Hot Beverages, what is your favorite hot drink?
Hot chocolate.  And coffee :)

I: is for Ice Cream, pick a favorite flavor and add a fun topping.

An english muffin with strawberry spread :)

Y: is for youth, what food reminds you of your childhood?
Anything Thanksgiving related.  We use to have a big gathering for Thanksgiving at my parents house when I was younger.  We would have  big spread of food, watch TV, play games, hang out.  All my cousins from my mom’s side of the family would come.  Thanksgiving remains my favorite holiday :)

Z: is for zucchini, how do you prepare it?
Any way, every way.  I love it.  Plain, sautéed, grilled, roasted, baked in bread, cookies, pancakes.  Its versatile and yummy :)

That was fun!  You should copy over the questions and play along on your blog too :)

Tomorrow is my half marathon.  I’m spending the day at a friends candle party, running a few quick errands, picking up my packet, then hydrating and resting, and generally being excited :)
I knew I wouldn’t make it through a post without talking about running!  LOL.
