1. I’ve still got the sickies. On Tuesday I thought I was on the road to recovery and I was feeling much better so I went to our weekly group track workout and busted out a great workout. And when I went to bed that night I was still feeling better than I was on Sunday or Monday nights. Then I woke up Wednesday and BAM! Full blown sickies all over again. Boo. I am feeling better today than I was yesterday but I’m going to skip today’s run and wait until tomorrow to see how I’m feeling. I’d rather skip today & tomorrow with the hopes of feeling better for my long run on Saturday.
Tuesday Track workout: 10x 40 second sprints with 2:20 recovery. Sprint paces = 7:34, 7:32, 8:01, 7:06, 7:30, 6:28, 6:30, 6:51, 6:28, 5:54. I thought I sweated out the sickies; I was wrong.
2. I didn’t post a WIAW post yesterday because all my photos needed to be downloaded and edited and I just didn’t have the energy to sit at my computer to do it. I spent the day laying on the couch, cuddling with the puppy & the kitty, watching hours upon hours of shows on my DVR and then a movie on TBS. And eating. Lots and lots of snacking when I’ve got the sickies.
3. There was a big reddish-brown spider in the shower with me this morning. Eeekkk! He was hanging out on my wash cloth and luckily I noticed him then proceeded to throw the wash cloth down and jump out of the shower until I could wash the spider down the drain. I’m terrified of spiders … so needless to say I had a quick shower after that because I couldn’t keep my eyes off the drain, knowing that the spider was going to crawl back up at any minute, and I felt like I had spiders crawling all over me. Not exactly the peaceful, long, hot shower I was hoping for.
