Meal Plan Monday {April 9}

My MIL gave us a ton of Easter Candy and I think I still have a sugar high from eating most of it on Saturday!  It was quite an indulgent weekend including a trip to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream after dinner on Sunday for our end-of-Lent ice cream treat (ice cream was one of the things we gave up for Lent).  I am looking forward to getting back on track and eating for fueling my body instead of eating to indulge.  I started the week off on the right foot by getting up this morning at 4 a.m. and going to the gym.  Let’s hope I’m successful with the rest of my workouts this week!  One day at a time … here’s my Plan for the Week (a la Giraffy at 365 Days of Awesome):

  • Monday ~ AM:  gym; PM: walk Lucy 
  • Tuesday ~ AM:  yoga/stretching @ home; PM: run hill repeats
  • Wednesday ~ AM:  gym; PM:  run (3 miles)
  • Thursday ~ AM:  gym; PM:  walk Lucy
  • Friday ~ AM: gym; PM: run (5 miles)
  • Saturday ~ long run (10-12 miles) + walk Lucy
  • Sunday ~ recovery run (2-3 miles) + walk Lucy

Sunday ~ Shirlee’s Tacos

I am a planner too but have gotten lazy with the meal planning lately. I am going to get back to that.
